Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica
Since many years the Italian Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security is engaged in initiatives aimed at promoting and disseminating models of sustainable production and consumption, in line with the actions envisaged by the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030 at a global level, with the “Fit for 55” package at European Union level and with the “Plan for the Ecological Transition” and the “New Strategy for the Circular Economy” at national level.
The goal is to guide the country towards a low-carbon economy in which are guaranteed, at the same time, the protection and enhancement of the territory and of the communities and the rational management, sustainable and circular use of resources. The concept of sustainability, which integrates the economic, environmental, social and cultural dimensions, the possibility of measuring and improving it through multi-criteria indicators, the accessibility to information concerning the commitments undertaken by companies and the results achieved are all elements that are increasingly rooted in the economic system and in the territorial management, representing an added value for businesses, consumers, administrations and citizens.
The Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security ensures rigor, uniformity and transparency of the contents of the communication activities within the sustainability programs through internationally recognized standardized procedure
European Partnership for Hydrogen Technologies
The Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (JU) is a unique public private partnership supporting research and innovation (R&I) activities in hydrogen technologies in Europe.
The Clean Hydrogen Partnership's main objective is to contribute to EU Green Deal and Hydrogen Strategy through optimised funding of R&I activities. The Clean Hydrogen Partnership is the successor of the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking (FCH 2 JU) and has taken over its legacy portfolio as of 30 November 2021.
The Clean Hydrogen JU will contribute to the European climate neutrality goal by producing noticeable, quantifiable results towards the development and scaling up of hydrogen applications.

Associazione Italiana Idrogeno – H2IT
H2IT aims to create the political and regulatory conditions for the development of a hydrogen applications market in Italy, as well as to promote its use through public and private participation. On one hand, they want to position themselves as a counterpart for institutions, providing the necessary support for the definition of a clear regulatory framework and raising awareness among the Government and citizens on the importance of hydrogen within a zero-emission energy system. On the other hand, they seek to support member companies in their growth and development towards a hydrogen economy in Italy and in Europe.
Italian Hydrogen Association (H2IT) brings together large, medium, and small enterprises, research centers, universities, technology clusters, and local authorities working in hydrogen in Italy.
It currently has 180 members representing the entire hydrogen value chain, from production to end-use, including companies involved in hydrogen logistics for its transportation, distribution, and storage.
Founded in 2005, H2IT's goals are to stimulate the creation of hydrogen infrastructure and ensure Italy's leadership role in the global market. In recent years, H2IT has become a valuable partner for Italian government on all hydrogen-related issues and has consistently offered its support to ministries in developing regulations and strategies for the sector.
H2IT organizes technical working groups to analyze the barriers hindering the sector's development and to propose legislative and strategic solution to overcome them. H2IT is promoting internationalization activities and is open to discuss with different countries to find opportunities for its members.
