Second Edition of the Best Thesis Awards (MSc & PhD)
The EFCH2 Conference 2026 is pleased to announce the Second Edition of the Best Thesis Awards, aimed at recognizing outstanding academic research in the field of hydrogen technologies, systems, and applications.
Two separate awards will be granted:
-> Best MSc Thesis Award
-> Best PhD Thesis Award
Both awards are supported by H2IT and the H2Excellence EU Project,contributing to the promotion of excellence and innovation in hydrogen-related research across Europe.
The award ceremony will take place during the conference in Capri.
We encourage all eligible candidates to apply and contribute to advancing hydrogen innovation in Europe.
Applicant smust have completed a Master of Science (MSc) or PhD thesis between January 2025 and June 2026 in a field relevant to hydrogen technologies, including but not limited to energy systems, engineering, environmental sciences, andrelated disciplines.
Submissions will be evaluated by an expert committee based on the following criteria:
-> Scientific Relevance
The significance of the research topic within the hydrogen sector and its contribution to current challenges.
-> Objectives
Clarity, coherence, and relevance of the research aims.
-> Methodology
Appropriateness, rigor, and innovation of the research methods.
-> Presentation of Results
Clarity and effectiveness in presenting findings and analyses.
-> Discussion
Depth of interpretation and connection to existing literature and broader implications.
-> Presentation Pitch
Quality and effectiveness of the oral or recorded presentation (if provided).
-> € 1. 000 Prize
-> Coverage of travel costs to Capri (Italy)
